AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH LELAND V. AND
SHIRLEY M. THOMPSON FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AS SHOWN ON PARCEL MAP 2468 AND APPROVING
CASH DEPOSIT AS TO SUFFICIENCY; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AGREEMENT WITH JOHN F. AND BILLIE JANE PRICE TO
TERMINATE AND CANCEL ORIGINAL AGREEMENT FOR PARCEL MAP
2468 PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, John F. Price and Billie Jane Price presented to
the City of Alameda for approval Parcel Map 2468 and on July 6,
1978, by its Resolution No. 8940, said Council approved said Parcel
Map, authorized execution of an agreement for construction and
completion of public improvements in said subdivision, and approved
faithful performance bonds as sufficient in amount; and
WHEREAS, John F. and Billie Jane Price subsequently sold the
property included in Parcel Map 2468 to Leland V. Thompson and
Shirley M. Thompson; and
WHEREAS, Leland V. and. Shirley M. Thompson have accepted
responsibility for and agree to construct and bond all public
improvements provided for in said Parcel Map 2468; and
WHEREAS, John F. and Billie Jane Price desire to terminate
and cancel the Original Agreement and Leland V. and Shirley M.
Thompson desire to enter into an agreement with the City specify-
ing the nature and extent of the public improvements and the period
within which it will complete construction of the public improve-
ments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that an agreement with Leland V. and Shirley M. Thompson
for construction and completion of the improvements as shown on
Parcel Map 2468, and all the terms and conditions therein, be and
hereby is approved, and the City Manager and the City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute and attest to, respectively,
said agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an agreement with John F. and
Billie Jane Price terminating and cancelling the original agree-
ment hereby is approved and the City Manager and the City Clerk
are authorized and directed to execute and attest to, respectively,
said agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a cash deposit in the amount
of $5,178.00, guaranteeing full and faithful performance of the
public improvements construction contract, is hereby approved as
sufficient in amount.
