REJECTING CLAIM OF EARL JOHN RIVARD, JR., CLAUDIA
N. RIVARD AND EARL JOHN RIVARD, III, AGAINST CITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the claim against the City heretofore on February 22, 1979,
filed by Earl John Rivard, Jr;., Claudia N. Rivard, and Earl
John Rivard, III, whose address is 2523 Ridge Road, Berkeley,
California 94709, be rejected in its entirety on the grounds
said claim is not a proper charge against the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of said rejection
be in the following words and that a certified copy of this
resolution be mailed to said claimant's attorney, Herman C.
Meyer, Esq., HURD, MEYER & MITCHELL, 1840 Embarcardero,
Oakland, California 94606:
"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the claim which you
presented to the City of Alameda on February 22, 1979,
was rejected on April 3, 1979.
WARNING
Subject to certain exceptions, you have only
six months from the date this notice was per -
sonally delivered or deposited in the mail to
file a court action on this claim. See
Government Code Section 945.6.
You may seek the advice of an attorney of your
choice in connection with this matter. If you
desire to consult an attorney, you should do so
immediately.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly` and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of April,;'
