APPROVING APPLICATION FOR 1979-80 OFFICE OF TRAFFIC
SAFETY GRANT MONEYS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
(TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE INVENTORY)
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California,
through the Business and Transportation Agency Office of Traffic
Safety, provides funds to certain entities for Traffic Safety
Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has projects which qualify
for said funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council approves the application for
1979-80 Office of Traffic Safety Grant moneys and the City
Manager and City Engineer are hereby authorized to sign the
application to the Business and Transportation Agency Office of
Traffic Safety for funding of a Traffic Control Device Inventory.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Alameda establishes
its intent, upon termination of federal Assistance Funds, to
maintain the Traffic Control Device Inventory current and up to
date.

was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of June, 1979, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman, and
President Corica, (5).
NOES: None.
