Resolution 09096CITY OF AL EDA RESOLUTION NO, 9096 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN CO). ENDATION OF :ETHEL -M- OTTOSEN ON HER RETIREMENT AS CITY CLERK. THE COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF ALAMEDA records with pride the long tenure of office of ETHEL M. OTTOSEN, employee and officer of the City of Alameda for seventeen Years and nine months. WHEREAS, Mrs. Ottosen was first employed by the City in September 1961, as a Senior Steno Clerk in the Police Department; was promoted to Deputy City Clerk in May, 1969; and appointed City Clerk in November, 1973; and WHEREAS, MIS. Ottosen has demonstrated her loyalty and the highest level of competence in the assumption of her responsibilities and the performance of her duties; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Ottosen has earned an exemplary reputation for honesty and impartiality, and has equally earned the respect and affection of the people of the community. NO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Al eda hereby acknowledges with great esteem the many years of out- standing service rendered by this faithful edployee and officer and expresses its gratitude for her sense of integrity and devotion to duty in carrying out the responsibilities of her office; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Alameda and all of her many friends throughout the co, unity extend to "Ethel" their hearty congratulations on her ents and their best wishes for continued good health, good fishing, and much happiness in her retirement.
