CERTIFYING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
RESPECTING ALAMEDA MARINA VILLAGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, Alameda Marina Village Associates has proposed
to construct a project, to be known as Alameda Marina Village,
incorporating residential, commercial, recreational, office and
open space uses located on 156 acres of land along the Oakland
Alameda Estuary, said site being bounded by the Oakland Alameda
Estuary on the north, the Encinal Terminals to the east and the
rail lines and switching tracks of the Southern Pacific Railroad
and Alameda Belt Line Railroad to the south and west; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the state Environmental Quality
Act of 1970, as amended, there has been prepared an environmental
impact report covering the effects said project will have on the
environment; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Board, at its regular meeting
on June 18, 1979, considered the Final Environmental Impact
Report for Alameda Marina Village and recommended submission to
this Council of the Final EIR with an attachment addressing
additional comments made at the meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby CERTIFIES that it has reviewed
and considered the information contained in those certain docu-
ments entitled "Draft Environmental Impact Report for the
Proposed Alameda Marina Village - March 2, 1979," "Final Environ-
mental Impact Report as an Addendum to the Draft Environmental
Impact Report for the Proposed Alameda Marina Village - June 6,
1979," and "Addendum to the Final Environmental Impact Report for
the Proposed Alameda Marina Village - July 2, 1979," filed in the
office of the City Clerk on July 2, 1979; and said Council further
CERTIFIES that said Final Environmental Impact Report has been
completed in compliance with the California Environmental Quality
Act and state guidelines.
