COMMENDING JOHN D. GOSS FOR HIS YEARS
OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF 0LAMEn8.
WHEREAS, JOHN U. GOSS was employed by the City of Alameda
for 12 years; and
WHEREAS, JOHN D. GOSS served as Assistant City Manager from
1967 to 1973 and as City Manager from 1975 to 1979; and
WHEREAS, during his employment with the City of Alameda,
he served as Chief Executive Officer for the Alameda City Council,
and under their direction was able to accomplish many projects in the
City of Alameda.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that in recognition of his
years nf employment with the City, the Alameda City Council extends
to JOHN D. GOSS its best wishes for a happy future in the years ahead.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of December 1979, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman, and President
Corica, (5)
