REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES (SHORELINE PARK ON BAY FARM ISLAND)
WHEREAS, certain real property situate in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and more
particularly described under the following account numbers
74-1318-24
74-1318-25
has been assessed and taxes levied are uncollected and unpaid;
and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessments and taxes
became a lien on said property, the City of Alameda, at its
regular meeting of June 6, 1978, by its Resolution No. 8921,
approved the Final Map of Subdivision Tract 3810 and accepted
certain real property dedicated therein to the City of Alameda,
designated on said map as Lot 15 in Block 3 and Lot 11 in
Block 4, for public access and public recreation uses; and
WHEREAS, said real property was, by recordation of Sub-
division Tract 3810 in the office of the County Recorder of
Alameda County on June 9, 1978, at 103 maps, pgs. 43-57,
acquired and now is owned by the City of Alameda, and has been
and now is being used for public PurPoses and because of such
public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Board of Supexvisors of the County of
Alameda be, and it is hereby, requested to make its order, and
to take such further proceedings as may be necessary, to cause
all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or costs charged
or levied for tax purposes upon the aforesaid parcels of real
property, to be cancelled; and that a record of such cancellation
be made by the officer or officers having custody of the record
thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4986 of
the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward two (2)
certified copies of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of December, 1979,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman, and
President Corica, (5)
