Resolution 12192CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12192 GUARANTEEING MATCHING FUNDS FOR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT GUARANTEED RETURN TRIP PROGRAM AND APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF THE CALTRANS GRANT WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's adopted General Plan calls for strategies to reduce single occupancy vehicle traffic as part of the Transportation Systems Management (TSM) efforts; and WHEREAS, Guaranteed Return Trip Programs have been shown to be effective in encouraging commuters to use transit, carpool, bike; and WHEREAS, the City's Guaranteed Return Trip Program will be offered to all Large Employers (50 or more employees), Commercial Centers, Employment Centers, and Homeowners Associations which are participating in the City's TSM program; and WHEREAS, the City applied for and was granted $6,350 as a 50% match for the program, with the minimum required matching funds being $6,350. Matching funds are already included in the Capital Improvement Project #91-7; and WHEREAS, before the contract can be awarded, a resolution is needed, by Council, guaranteeing matching funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby guarantees matching funds for the Guaranteed Return Trip Program in the amount of $6,350; and be it further resolved that the Council approves acceptance of the Caltrans grant of matching funds in the amount of $6,350. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the fourth day of February, 1992, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
