Resolution 09234CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9234 REJECTING PREVIOUS BID AND ADOPTING NEW SPECIFICATIONS AND PLANS FOR WASHINGTON PARK PHASE IV, AREA B, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME WHEREAS, on September 4, 1979 by its Resolution No. 9149 this Council adopted Specifications and Plans for Washington Park Phase IV, called for bids and directed the City Clerk to adver- tize same; and WHEREAS, the one bid received for this project exceeded the construction estimate therefor; and WHEREAS, the Architects have prepared new Specifications and Plans for Washington Park, Phase IV, Area B, No PW 9-79-10, and filed in the office of the City Clerk on February 5, 1980; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the bid received for this project on October 1, 1979, is hereby rejected. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said Specifications and Plans filed in the office of the City Clerk on February 5, 1980, be and the same are hereby approved and adopted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Specifications be and the same is hereby authorized. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 1980, for furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to in accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Washington Park, Phase IV, Area B," or similar designation. Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the pro- visions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. Said Specifications and Plans may be had by any prospective bidder on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of February, 1980, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Stone,'Tillman and President Corica, (4), NOES: None.
