Resolution 09262CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9262 AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE 'FREEDOM SHRINE" DONATED BY THE ALAMEDA EXCHANGE CLUB TO BE PLACED IN THE LOBBY OF THE POLICE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE ALAMEDA EXCHANGE CLUB. WHEREAS, Anri7, 1980, is designated as "Freedom Shrine Month" throughout the Nation by Exchange Clubs; and WHEREAS, the Alameda Exchange C7uh, a civic organization, wishes to present the City of Alameda with a "Freedom Shrine" to be placed in the lobby of the Police Administration Building; and WHEREAS, the "Freedom Shrine" consists of 28 framed Freedom documents such as the "Declaration of Independence," "George Washington's Inaugural Address," and the Gettysburg Address;'' and WHEREAS, is an educational exhibit and a symbol of patriotism and will benefit the citizens of Alameda; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of Alameda accepts the "Freedom Shrine" with pride; and ' ^ BE IT FURTHER Council expresses it apprecia- tion to the Alameda ch their interest in the community and for their donation of the "Freedom Shrine." I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of March, 1980, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and President Corica - 5.
