Resolution 09280CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9280 CONSENT TO CANCELLATION OF UNCOLLECTED CITY TAXES, PENALTIES AND COSTS BASED ON THE CONSENT OF THE COUNTY LEGAL ADVISER WHEREAS, Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California provides that all or any portion of any uncollected taxes, penalties or costs shall be cancelled by the Board of Supervisors on the grounds enumerated therein with the written consent of the county legal adviser; and WHEREAS, Section 4986.2 of said Revenue and Taxation Code provides that any uncollected city taxes, penalties and costs shall be cancelled on the grounds enumerated in Section 4986 except that the consent of the city attorney in lieu of the consent of the county legal adviser is required; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the consent of the county legal adviser to cancel any uncollected taxes, penalties or costs under the provisions of Revenue and Taxation Code Section 4986 shall also be deemed the consent of the City Attorney to the cancellation of any uncol- lected city taxes, penalties or costs as provided in Section 4986.2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution shall be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda and shall remain effective until rescinded by this City Council. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of May 1980, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Tillman and President Corica 4 NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Stone - IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 7th day of May, 1980.
