AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION TO U. S„
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR FUNDS
UNDER THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM (SIXTH YEAR HCDA)
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is considered an entitlement
City and accordingly has been receiving federal funds authorized
and appropriated under the Housing and Community Development Act.
of 1974; and
WHEREAS, in 1977, Congress enacted a new Housing and
Community Development Act which further authorizes and appro-
priates funds which the City is eligible to receive; and
AS, the City of Alameda has prepared an application
funding under the new legislation;
NOD THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is authorized to submit said
application to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment for- funding under the Housing and Community Development
Block Grant Program.
