Resolution 09295CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO 9295
APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATIODIS OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES
BOARD OF A SITE FOR A PROPOSED SOLID- WASTE - FIRED
ELECTRIC GENERATING STATION
WHEREAS, a study has been completed to evaluate the
preferred site for a proposed solid-waste- red electric gencr.at-
ing station; and
WHEREAS, the study considered locations at the Alameda
garbage disposal site, the proposed Harbor Bay Island Business
Park and the San Leandro Transfer Station and found the San
Leandro Transfer Station site to be the most economical and
environmentally desirable site,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that this Council finds the San Leandro Transfer
Station to be the preferable site for the proposed solid- waste --
fired electric generating station;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that t1:e Mayor, the City Manager
and the Manager of the Bureau of Electricity notify the City of
San Leandro, the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Authority,
the Oakland Scavenger Company and the Pacific Gas -& Electric
Company of the decision of the Alameda' City Council,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that his Council approves of the
preparation of a draft Environmental Impact Report for Site C
provided that satisfactory discussions can be completed with the
agencies involved,

foregoing resolution Wes_ duly and regularly adopted
and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of May, 1980,
by the following vote, to wit;
