AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS FOR GRANT FUNDING UNDER
THE DESIGN ARTS PROGRAM TO CONDUCT A SHORELINE OPEN
SPACE STUDY
WHEREAS, the Planning Department desires to apply for
grant funding to the National Endowment for the Arts, under the
Design Arts Progran, for the purpose of conducting a shoreline
open space study; and
WHEREAS, said study would explore various options of
enhancing public open space in areas on and contiguous to the
Alameda shoreline;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Planning Department is hereby authorized to
submit an application to the National Endowment for the Arts for
grant funding under the Design Arts Program to conduct a shore-
line open space study.
