REQUESTING CIVIL SERVICE BOARD EXCEPT THE POSITIONS
OF ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER AND ADMINISTRATIVE
ASSISTANT FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, Section 3 of Ordinance No® 642 New Sora.es
authorizes, upon request of the Council, exception from the
Civil Service of the City of Alameda of any position therein
under Council authority or under the authority of the City
Manager, if such position is of a Confidential nature; and
WHEREAS, the Assistant City Manager and Administrative
Assistant work directly under the City Manager on confidential
matters relating to all areas of City government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council does hereby request that the Civi1
Service Board except the positions of Assistant City Manager
and Administrative Assistant from the 'Civil Service of the City
of Alameda.
I" the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of June, 1980,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and
President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
