AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING FOUR MOTORCYCLES
WITH POLICE PACKAGE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO
POWELL ENTERPRISES AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, this Council heretofore published notice calling
for bids for furnishing to the City of Alameda our (4) Motor-
cycles with Police Package for the Alameda Police Department in
accordance with Specifications No MSP 9 -80 -1 and approved on
September 16, 1980; and

WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
ed by Powell Enterprises agreeing to furnish said motor -
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
.00, exclusive of taxes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that
the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best
bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Powell Enterprises
be accepted, the contract for furnishing four (4) Motorcycles
with Police Package in accordance with Specifications No. MSP
9 -80 -1 be awarded to said bidder and that the Mayor be authorized
to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf
of the City of Alameda.

Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the
Council of the City of Alameda in regular rneeting assembled
