Resolution 09429CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 9429 APPROVING REQUEST OF ALAMEDA HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO PLACE A STREET MARKER AT 611 TAYLOR AVENUE COMMEMORATING GIDEON AUGHINBAUGH, CO- PURCHASER AND CO- FOUNDER OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA WHEREAS, the Alameda Historical Society wishes to honor Gideon Aughinbaugh, co- purchaser and co- founder of the City of Alameda, by placing a plaque in front of the house in which he died, located at 611 Taylor Avenue in the City of Alameda, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that, upon the recommendation of the Alameda Historical Advisory Commission, said Council hereby approves the request the Alameda Historical Society to place a bronze plaque in th planting strip area located between the curb and the sidewalk i:n front of property located at 611 Taylor Avenue to commemorate Gideon Aughinbaugh, ca- purchaser and ca- founder of the City of Alameda. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of December, 198O, by the following vote, to wit: AYE8: Councilmen Ojament, Sherr6tt, Stone, Tillman and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 17th day of December, 1989.
