Resolution 09432CITY OF ALAS EDA RESOLUTION NO. 9432 (REQUESTING TERMINATION OF SOCIAL SECURITIES) (OLD AGE SERVICE, DISABILITY AND HEALTH INSURANCE) (AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) WHEREAS, the City of Alameda, hereinafter referred to as "Public Agency," and the State of California entered into an agreement on March 11, 1964, providing for the inclusion of the services of the eligible employees of the public agency in the California State Social Security Agreement of larch 9, 1951, pursuant to the provisions of Section 218 of the Social Security Act; and WHEREAS, coverage on subject service under t said agreement by the public agency, of the State of California has been in effect for not less than five (5) years from the effective date of coverage specified in said agreement, as required by raw for termination of coverage; and WHEREAS, it is understood that a between the public agency and the Sta and the California State Social Secur respect to the public agency, a agency may not again enter into a State to provide for the Incl.us its employees in the California Agreement; agreement alifornia, reement with aced, the public eement with the services of ocial Security NOW, TNEREFOPE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda find, and it hereby finds that it is in the best interests of the public agency to terminate said agreement with respect to all coverage groups thereo and BE IT FURTHER Manager, be and notify the Board of Retirement S March 11, 19 California as requi 1982; and J.
