AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION TO U.S,. DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR FUNDS UNDER THE
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
{SEVENTH YEAR HCDA}
WHEREAS the City of Alameda is considered an entitlement
City and accordingly has been receiving federal funds authorized
and appropriated under the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974; and
WHEREAS, in 1977 Congress enacted a new Housing and
C nity Development Act which further authorizes and apps
priates funds which the City is eligible to receive, and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has prepared 'an application
unding under the new legislation;
NOW® THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TfE;COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is authorized to submit said
application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop
meat for funding under the Housing and Community Development
Bock Grant Program.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and VaSS£d by the
Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled
