Resolution 09488CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. ? s APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1980 STATE GRANT MONEYS FOR TIIE WASHINGTON PARK, AREA A, REHABILITATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the people of the -State of California have enacted the California Parklands Act of 1980, which provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and for developing facilities for public .recreation and historical pruposes; and WHEREAS, tho State Department of Pars and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the admiriist :ration of the program within the state, setting; up necessary procedures governing appli.cafiion by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Pa and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolu- tion the approval of applications prior to submission of said applications to the state; and WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant must comply with; and WHEREAS, the applicant ag he State of California for of the project; NOW THEREFORE, BE ALAMEDA that said City: T RESO ncy Will enter the acquis1 o nto an agreement and /or development VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 1. Approves the filing of an application for 1980 state grant assistance for the Washington Park, Area A, Rehabilitation Project; and 2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certification in the application; and 3. Ce funds to opera that said agency has or will have sufficient maintain the project; and 4. Certifies that said agency has reviewed and understands the General Provisions contained in the state /local agreement.; and Appoints the Director of Recreat1er and Parks as agent o the City to conduct all - negotiations, execute and submit all docu- ments including but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, ,payment requests, and .so on which may necessary for the completion of'the aforementioned project. I, the'undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of February, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen DiO08Ot, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman, and President Corica - 5.
