Resolution 09491CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9491 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH YELLOW CAB COMPANY OF ALAMEDA COUNTY, INC., RELATING TO CITY'S ELDERLY AND HANDICAPPED TAXI SERVICE WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has entered into an agreement with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission to receive Transportation Development Act Article 4.5 funds to provide para- transit services for elderly and handicapped residents of the City; and WHEREAS, Yellow Cab Company of Alameda County, Inc. holds the necessary permits authorizing operation in the City of Alameda; and WHEREAS, Yellow Cab Company of Alameda County, Inc. has obtained the necessary liability insurance and agrees furthermore to hold the City of Alameda harmless from any and all loss, injury, or damage occasioned in the performance of this agreement; and WHEREAS, it has been determined to be in the best interests of the senior and handicapped residents to have increased access to taxicab services through the City's senior/handicapped trans- portation program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City of Alameda enter into an agreement with Yellow Cab Company of Alameda County, Inc. to provide taxi services for participants in Alameda's Senior and Handicapped Transportation Program. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of March, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilman Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 4th day of March, 1981.
