Resolution 09495CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 9495 AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL BY THE CITY MANAGER OF AN APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION FOR A LOW - INTEREST LOAN FOR THE STREET LIGHT CONVERSION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Energy Element of the City of Alameda's General Plan recommends energy conservation measures to reduce the City's dependence on fossil fuels, and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has determined that convert- ing its existing streetlight system to high - pressure sodium lighting will reduce energy consumption in the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda seeks funds to carry out this energy conservation measure; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is hereby authorized to application to the California Energy Commission for a l.o<ln carry out a streetlight conversion project. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of March, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilman Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None.
