Resolution 09514CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9514 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE METROPOLI'T'AN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981 -82 WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has in 1976 provided subsi- dized_taxi. services to its elderly and handicapped residents, and WHEREAS e provision of said services addresses the need for alternatives to public transportation for the frai.l., elderly and handicapped; and WHEREAS, the 'Transportation Development Act ( DA), as amended (Public Utilities Code Section 99200 et seq.), provides for the disbursement o funds from the Local Transportation Fund of_ the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of senior and handicapped taxi services; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA; as amended, and pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder (21 Cal Admin Code Sections 6600 et seq.) a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation Commis - sion and WHEREAS, TDF\ funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County will be required by claimant in Fiscal Year 1981 -82 senior and handicapped taxi services, NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized to execute and file an appropriate claim;, pursuant to applicable rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, together with all necessary supporting documents, with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for an allocation of TDA funds in Fiscal Year 1981 -82, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Metropolitan 'Transportation Commission in con - junction with the filing of the claim, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission be requested to grant the allocations of funds as specified herein. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th of April, 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and President Corica - 5.
