AUTHORIZING AN EMERGENCY SIMULATION EXERCISE INVOLVING
CITY OF ALAMEDA STAFF, THE A7_,AMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT, THE NAVAL AIR STATION, AND THE RED CROSS
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Council has passed Ordinance
No. 1676 N.S. establishing the City of Alameda Emergency Services
Organization, thereby providing for the protection of lives and
property within the City in the event of a disaster., and
WHEREAS, the Council has adopted the City of Alameda
Emergency Plan which prescribes the responsibilities of the City
departments and officials which comprise the Emergency Services
Organization; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Council recognizes the need to
test the provisions of the Emergency Plan and the response capa-
bilites of certain cooperating agencies,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that an Emcrgency Simulation Management Exercise
be conducted on or a t May 15, 1981; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Regional Coordinator
rgency Services is hereby authorized to develop the exercise an
n conjunction with Officials of the Carty of Alameda Emergency
Services Organizatsons.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the
Council of the City of A in regular adjourned meeting
assembled on the 28th of April, 1981, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
