AWARDING CONTRACT FOR. LEGAL ADVERTISING FOR THE CITY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1981 -1982 TO ALAMEDA TIMES- STAR
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda - heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the publication of all
legal advertising of said City during the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Alameda Times -Star in accordance with the
specifications set out in Resolution No. 9539 for the sum of
$6.00 per column inch for the 1st insertion, $5.75 per column
inch for the 2nd insertion and $5.75 per column inch for the 3rd
and subsequent insertions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Alameda Times -Star is a responsible bidder
and that the proposal submitted is the lowest and best bid
received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of the Alameda Times -
Star be accepted, the contract for legal advertising for the
City for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1982 be awarded to said
bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a special meetiAg of the COUnCil assembled on the 30th
Of June, 1981, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen 0iament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica -
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
