DESIGNATING THE RED CROSS BUILDING AT 2017 CENTRAL
AVENUE AS AN ALAMEDA HISTORICAL MONUMENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that,
upon the recommendation of the Alameda Historical Advisory
Commission, said Council hereby designates the AMERICAN RED CROSS
BUILDING at 2017 Central Avenue as an "Alameda Historical Monu
ment."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the list of Historical Monuments
shall read:
1. Alameda City Hall
2. Alameda Theater
*3. Alameda High School
*4. St. Joseph's Basilica
5. Sanctuary Building of the First Presbyter an Church
6. First Church of Christ, Scientist
7. The Old Post Office Building, 2417 Central Avenue
8. First Congregational Church of Alameda
9. Cron Building
10. Old Masonic Hall
11. Second Empire Residence at 2233 Santa Clara Avenue
*12. Union Iron Works Turbine Machine Shop Building
*13. Union on Works Power House
14. American Red Cross Building at 2017 Central Avenue
* On National Register of Historic Places
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
Was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of August, 1981
