ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND
PLANS FOR TEE DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE FOR
MAKASSAR STRAITS VILLAGE, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, specifications and plans have been prepared for
the demolition and site clearance for Makassar Straits Village
at the Pope /Webster Street site No PW 981 -8, and filed in the
office of the City Clerk on September 1, 1981;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the said Specifications and Plans be and the
same are, hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 11:00 o'clock
a.m. on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1981, for furnishing to the City of
all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the
City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda, California', under sealed
cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Demolition
and Site Clearance for Makassar Straits Village," or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded; will be awarded subject to the
provisions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the
responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Plans may be had by any prospec -
tive bidder on application to the City Engineer, at his office
in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
Alameda Times - Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in
accordance with the provisions Ofthis resolution and of said
Specifications.
