AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH PROVIDENCE
VETERINARYiOSPITAL FOR EMERGENCY TREATMENT OF
INSURED OR SICK ANIMALS WHOSE OWNERS ARE UNKNOWN
(Normal Working Hours)
WHEREAS, a proposed agreemen Providence Veterinary
Hospital for its services relating. 'to emergency treatment of
injured or sick animals whose owners are unknown and are taken to
the veterinary hospital by Animal She personnel, a Police
Officer or a private citizen during normal working hours that said
hospital is open for business, and which provides for certain
payment by the City therefor, has been submitted to this Council,
and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and condi-
tions thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests -af the City of Alameda
that said agreemesat, fora term commencing on July 1, 1981 and
ending on June 30z 1982; be entered
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the
City, that certain agreement referred to above by and between
Providence Veterinary Hospital and the City of Alameda, for its
services relating to emergency treatment of injured or sick
animals whose owners are unknown® The City Clerk is hereby
directed to attest to same,
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foserbing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed hy the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th of Septemimmy
by the following vote to wit:
