AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF MINE SAFETY
APPLIANCE BREATHING APPARATUS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Equipment Replacement Fund lists an
allocation for Mine Safety Appliance Breathing Apparatus for the
Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this apparatus is
available to the City through State Contract Pricing at a cost
below any quotations obtained from interested vendors;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALA'MEDA that pursuant to Section 3--15 of the City Charter the
Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to arrange for the
Purchase of Mine Safety Appliance Breathing Apparatus through
the State of California.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of October, 1981,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
