AWARDING CONTRACT FOR DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE
OF MAKASSAR STRAITS HOUSING TO CAMPANELLA, INC. AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF (POPE STREET SITE)
WHEREAS, the Council of the City cf Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for demolition and site
clearance for Makassar Straits Village in accordance with
Specifications No PW 9-81 -8 approved on September 1, 1981,
and
REAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by - Campanella, Inc. agreeing -to perform said demolition
and site clearance in accordance with said Specifications for
the sum of $38,400.00 a
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that Campanella, Inc. is a responsible bidder and
the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best
bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Campanella, Inc.
be accepted, the contract for demolition and site clearance of
Makassar Straits Village be awarded to said bidder, and that
the Mayor be authorized to execute; an d the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of October, 1981,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
