ACCEPTING PROPOSAL AS AGREEMENT (M.UND, McLAURIN & CO.
OF SAN FRANCISCO, REVIEW AND EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS
RELATIVE TO TEE' CITY'S INSURANCE PROGRAM)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE -CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the proposal of Mund, McLauri:n & Co. of San Francisco, Insurance
Analysts, dated October 7, 1981, a copy of which is attached,
for services relating to a comparative review and evaluation of
insurance proposals solicited by the City, is hereby accepted
and the Assistant City Manager is authorized to sign said
proposal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said proposal and this
acceptance shall constitute the contract of the parties hereto.

RISK MANAGEMENT • ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
You have asked for our outline of services in connection with the review
and evaluation of insurance Proposals due back to the City in early
November.
This same type of analysis was performed for the City by our firm in 1977
when Specifications were distributed for the purpose of soliciting proposals
for insurance. We were founded in San Francisco in 1920 as independent risk
management consultants and insurance analysts and we have continuously offer-
ed these services for the past sixty one years. We warrant that we are total-
ly independent and do not sell insurance or accept fees or commissions from
any source whatsoever.
Our services to` the 'City in such
an evaluation would be a - complete review of
each proposal submitted first
analysis and comparative review would be displayed for easy
interpretation and would detail the coverages offered '

mitted. This display would be accompanied by a arrative offering to the
City our comments and recommendations for award with reasoning why. At no
time do we recommend a broker to represent the City, only the''proposmI and
program that best suits City needs and requirements.
Our fee for these services would be a flat $500, payable as invoiced upon
completion of our Report.
If this proposal of services is acceptable the Ci r please sign both
copies of this letter returning the duplicate for our files.
