AWARDING CONTRACT FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICE
TO CAGWIN AND DORWARD LANDSCAPE AND ENGINEERING
CONTRACTORS
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for landscape maintenance
service for specified parks and other turfed areas of the City
in accordance with Specifications approved on September 15,
1981; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Cagwin and Dorward, Landscape and Engineering
Contractors, agreeing to perform said landscape maintenance
service in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$51,528.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that Cagwin and Dorward is a responsible bidder and
the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best
bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Cagwin and Dorward
be accepted, the contract for landscape maintenance service
for specified parks and other turfed areas of the City be awarded
to said bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
