AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR CALTRANS BICYCLE LANE
ACCOUNT PROGRAM GRANT
WHEREAS, Chapter 8, Section 2382, of the Streets and High-
ways Code, establishes a bicycle lane account with the State
Transportation Fund, to be administered by the State Department
of Transportation, and provides funding to cities and counties for
bikeways and related facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to participate in the
cycle Lane Account Program and has taken ttic necessary steps in
order Lo file a proper application; and
WHEREAS, the City has sufficient funds to finance 10,E
the project cost and shall prepare e certification to this effect;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that sufficient funds exist within the TOPICS Fund for
the City of Alameda to finance 10% of total eligible project costs
associated with the application for the Bicycle Lane Accoun
Program, that the City is authorized to , prepare and submit said
application and that J. Bruce Rupp, City Manager, is authorized
to execute all documents related to said application,
T, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of November, 1981`
by the following vote to wit:
