AWARDING CONTRACT TO STEINY AND COMPANY, INC. FOR
MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS, FERNSIDE BOULEVARD
AND HIGH STREET, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Modification of Traffic
Sianals, Fernside Boulevard and High Street, in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 10-81-10, approved October 27, 1981; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Steiny and Company, Inc. agreeing to modify the traffic
signals at Fernside Boulevard and High Street in accordance with
said Specifications for the sum of $23,305.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that Steiny and Company, Inc. is a responsible bidder
and that the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and
best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Steiny and Company
be accepted, the contract for modification of Traffic Signals,
Fernside Boulevard and High Street, be awarded to said bidder, and
the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of December, 1981,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: NOne,
ABSENT: None.
