AWARDING CONTRACT TO APEX CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF SMALL BOAT RAMP AND FISHING
BREAKWATER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for construction of a Small Boat
Ramp and Fishing Breakwater to be located near the Naval Air
Station in accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 1- 81 -1 -A,
approved on October 27, 1981; and
WHEREAS, in, response to said notice a sealed bid was sub -
mitted by Apex Construction, Inc, agreeing to construct the small
boat ramp and fishing breakwater in accordance with said specifi-
cations for the sum of $231,539.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that Apex Construction, Inc. is a responsible bidder and
that the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best
bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Apex Construction,
Inc. be accepted, the contract for construct ing the Alameda Small
Boat Ramp and Fishing Breakwater be awarded to said bidder, and
that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of December, 1981,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen DiDment" Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica -
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
