AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT FOR EXTENSION OF THE INFILTRATION AND
INFLOW STUDY
WHEREAS, on February 13, 1979, the City of Alameda, with
other East Bay cities and the Stege Sanitary District, entered
into a Joint Powers Agreement with the East Bay Municipal Utility
District (EBMUD) -for the Control of Wet Weather Overflows and
Bypasses (Inflow /Infiltration Control Project); and
WHEREAS, extension of the Joint Powers Agreement is now
required to continue the project as it is currently structured;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City of Alameda agrees to an extension of
the term of the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for Control
of Wet Weather Overflow and Bypasses to July 1, 1986; and.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be and hereby is
authorized to execute said Extension of Joint Exercise of Powers
Agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda.
T, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th of January, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen OiO0ent, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
