RATIFYING SUBMISSION OF GRANT, APPLICATION TO NATIONAL
TRUST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION
WHEREAS, the National Trust for Historic Preservation awards
grants for consultant services to assist in historic preservation
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Hall, being_ a building of
historical and architectural 'sign.ificance, was placed on the
National Register of Historic Places in. October, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to protect and preserve this land -
k building for current and future generations of Alameda
citizens; and
REAS, funds have been secured to provide a local match
to the National Trust Grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council ratifies the submission of a grant
application for consultant services to the National Trust for
Historic Preservation.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of February, 1982,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
