AWARDING CONTRACT TO JAMES H. DARBY FOR ADDITIONS AND
ALTERATIONS TO THE BOAT LAUNCHING RAMP AT THE NORTH
END OF GRAND STREET AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for additions and alterations
to the Boat Launching Ramp at the north end of Grand Street
in accordance with Specifications and Plans No P.W. 12-81-13
approved December 15, 1981; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by JAMES H. DARBY agreeing to construct the additions and
alterations to the Boat Launching Ramp at the north end of Grand
Street in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$97,721.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that James H. Darby is a responsible bidder and that
the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best bid
received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of James H. Darby be
accepted, the contract for additions and alterations to the Boat
Launching Ramp at the north end of Grand Street be awarded to said
bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk toattest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of February, 1982,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
