AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CARETAKER'S
UNIT AT MASTICK SENIOR CENTER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department of the City of
Allameda called for bids for construction of a 0-bedroom caretaker's
unit at Mastick Senior Center in accordance with drawings and
specifications approved November 19, 1981; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Barnes Construction, agreeing to construct said Unit in
accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $11,793.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that Barnes Construction is a responsible bidder and that
the proposal submitted by said Bidder is the lowest and best bid
received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Barnes Construction
be accepted, the contract for construction be awarded to said Bidder,
and that the City Manager be authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of February, 1982,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official
seal of said City this 3rd day of February, 1982.
