AWARDING CONTRACT FOR HARBOR BAY PARKWAY IMPROVEMENTS TO
GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Improvement of Harbor
Bay Parkway, Doolittle Drive Intersection and Extension Southerly
from Maitland Drive in accordance with Specifications No P.N.
12-81-12, approved on February 3, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher and Burk, Inc. agreeing to construct the
Harbor Bay Parkway improvements in accordance with said Specifica-
tions for the sum of $1,036,801.60.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that Gallagher and Burk, Inc. is a responsible bidder
and that the proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and
best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Gallagher and Burk,
Inc. is hereby accepted, the contract for constructing the Harbor
Bay Parkway Improvements is awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor
is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th of March, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
