Resolution 09724ORGNA CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9724 AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF OAKLAND TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR 1982-83 TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE 4.5 FUNDS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO OPERATE AND ADMINISTER THE ZONE 1 ACCESSIBLE-VAN PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AGREEMENTS WHICH MIGHT BE NECESSARY TO ADMINISTER SAID FUNDS WHEREAS, on April 15, 1980 the City Council of the City of Alameda approved Alameda's participation in the Alameda County Zone 1 Accessible Van Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Oakland has been designated as the administrative agent for the Alameda County Zone 1 Accessible Van Program; and WHEREAS,the City of Oakland has agreed to claim and admin- ister Transportation Development Act 4.5 funds for accessible-van services on behalf of the City of Alameda and its disabled resi- dents; and WHEREAS, the necessary administrative arrangements are detailed in the Zone 1 Accessible-Van Program application being submitted to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission by the City of Oakland; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of Alameda's disabled residents to have access to alternate modes of transportation such as those provided through the Zone 1 Accessible-Van Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF .THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City of Oakland is authorized to submit an application to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for 1981-82 Transportation Development Act 4.5 funds on behalf of the City of Alameda for the specific purpose of operating and administer- ing the Zone 1 Accessible-Van Program for the benefit of Alameda's disabled citizens; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute any further agreements with the City of Oakland which may be necessary to facilitate the administration and operation of the Zone 1 Accessible-Van Program. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution as duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of April 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
