CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9730
Resolution in Support of Continued Funding
for
Disabled Students at the Postsecondary Level
WHEREAS, the city of Alameda has a disabled population who need
a wide variety of educational services; and
WHEREAS, this population is served by colleges within the Peralta
Community College District; and
WHEREAS, these services are provided at both on and off- campus
locations; and
WHEREAS, reductions in services and state funds to these commu-
nity colleges would cause a serious hardship for disabled students
in pursuit of their educational goals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, members of the Council,
City of Alameda, urge that these services be maintained at their.
present levels; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, budget allocations necessary to do
this be maintained at least.at the previous year's level for the

1982-83 school year.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of jij
