Resolution 09731CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9731 APPROVING REQUEST OF ALAMEDA HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO PLACE A PLAQUE AT THE CURBSTONE AT 930 PACIFIC AVENUE TO COMMEMORATE THE FOUNDING OF THE ALAMEDA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS WHEREAS, the Alameda Historical Society wishes to honor the founding of the Alameda Chapter of the American Red Cross by placing a plaque at the curbstone of 930 Pacific Avenue where, in 1898, the Alameda Chapter was founded; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that, upon the recommendation of the Alameda Historical Advisory Commission, said Council hereby approves the request of said Alameda Historical Society to place a bronze plague in the planting strip area located between the curb and the sidewalk in front of property located at 930 Pacific Avenue to commemorate the founding of the Alameda Chapter of the American Red Cross at this address in 1898. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Pesolution Jas duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of :Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5.
