Resolution 09743CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9743 SUPPORTING CONTINUED FUNDING FOR FEDERAL LAND & WATER CONSERVATION FUNDS DURING FISCAL YEAR 1982-83 WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States is considering the restoration of Land and Water Conservation Funds to the State side in Fiscal Year 1983; and WHEREAS, the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the Appropriations Committee are urged to consider the importance of this funding to the state; and WHEREAS, the Land & Water Conservation Funds have been one of the best examples of National reinvestment for the future by using income from resources; and WHEREAS, this fund has assisted the City of Alameda develop five parks and recreational facilities in the City; and WHEREAS, the need both in Alameda and nationally is very great for funding of capital investments, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that this Council urges that the House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs recommendation of a funding level of $309 million for Fiscal Year 1983, $100 million of which will be available to the state, be incorporated in the Fiscal Year 1983 National Budget. 1, the undersigned,- hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution 4as duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of April 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
