AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SECTION 8 RENTAL UNITS ASSISTED
WITH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has made a commitment to pro-
duce 79 Section 8 rental units for which the City will receive
new construction credit; and
WHEREAS, the City has provided Community Development Block
Grant Funds to assist in the development of said units; and
WHEREAS, said units are being developed on a scattered
site basis as directed by City Council; and
WHEREAS, said affordable rental units are being provided
to needy Alameda families;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby authorizes the City Manager
to execute contracts between the City of Alameda and private property
owners for the development of Section 8 rental units assisted
with Community Development Block Grant Funding. The City Clerk
is hereby directed to attest to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a regular adjourned meeting assembled on May 11, 1982
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
