Resolution 09751CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9751 REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA TO LEVY A SEVEN CENT TAX, IN ADDITION TO PRESENT LEVIES, ON EACH $100 OF ASSESSED VALUATION IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AS A VOTER APPROVED LEVY FOR THE LIBRARY FUND, PURSUANT TO SECTION 16-2 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA WHEREAS, Section 16-2 of the Charter of the City of Alameda, adopted by a vote of the people on April 29, 1937, authorized the Council to levy and apportion a tax of seven (7) cents per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of property in Alameda to the Library Fund; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the County of Alameda is hereby requested and authorized to assume on behalf of the City of Alameda for the 1982-1983 and 1983-1984 fiscal years the collection, payment and enforcement of a seven cent levy on each $100 of assessed valuation in the City of Alameda, which amount shall be in addition to present ad valorem property tax collections for the City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all monies arising therefrom shall be aportioned to the Library Fund pursuant to Section 16-2 of the Charter of the City of Alameda. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular adjourned meeting assembled on May 11, 1982, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmen Gorman, Sherratt and President Corica - NOES: Councilmen Diament and Stone - 2.
