AWARDING CONTRACT FOR LEGAL ADVERTISING FOR THE CITY
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1982-1983 TO THE ALAMEDA
TIMES-STAR AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the publication of all
legal advertising of said City during the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by the Alameda Times-Star in accordance with the
specifications set out in Resolution No 9746 for the sum
of $6.00 per column inch for the 1st insertion, $5.75 per
column inch for the 2nd insertion and $5.75 per column inch
for the 3rd and subsequent insertions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the A/ameda Times-Star is a responsible
bidder and that the proposal submitted is the lowest and best
bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of the Alameda Times-
Star be accepted, the contract for legal advertising for the
City for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1983 be awarded to
said bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute,
and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the
City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of June, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen DiDmeDt, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
