APPROVING REVISED JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
FOR THE BAY AREA LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the revised Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for the Bay Area
Library and Information System, to become effective July 1, 1982,
by and among the City of Alameda, the County of Alameda, the
City of Berkeley, the County of Contra Costa, the City of Hayward,
the City of Livermore, the City of Oakland, the City of Richmond,
the City and County of San Francisco and the City of San Leandro,
providing organizational and administreative structure to the
operation of the cooperative library service in the geographic
territory of Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties
and to apply for public and private grants, funds and assistance,
be and the same hereby is approved; said agreement to be substan-
tially in the form of that heretofore placed in the office of
the City Clerk and marked "Filed, June 15, 1982.
BE IT FURTI-IER RESOLVED that the Mayor be and hereby is
authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
T, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of June, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
