AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF
ALAMEDA AND OTHER CITIES IN THE COUNTY AS TO THE
DISTRIBUTION OF LOCAL ROADWAY USER FEE (GAS TAXES)
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 215 (Chapter 541, Statutes of 1981),
which was approved by the State Legislature and the Governor in
1981, authorizes a county to impose an additional roadway user fee
(gas tax) to be paid by the purchasers of motor vehicle fuel within
the County of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, one of the conditions of this additional imposition
is that the county and the cities within have a written agreement
on allocation of the additional revenues;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council, having approved the imposition of
a proposed 5 -cent per gallon local roadway user fee (gas tax) within
the County of Alameda, subject to county -wide voter approval, hereby
approves the agreement with the County of Alameda and other cities
in the county as to the distribution of these fees within the
county;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and City
Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized to execute and to attest
to, respectively, said agreement, on behalf of the City.

City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled On the 6th day of July, 1982,
