AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR
FURNISHING MINOR STREET PATCHING WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1982-1983 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Minor Street Patching with
Asphalt Concrete for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1983 in
accordance with Specifications and Plans No PW 5-82-7, approved
on June 15, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was submitted
by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to furnish minor street patching
with asphalt concrete in accordance with said Speci fications at
$2.47 per square foot;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that the
proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best bid
received; and
t BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc.
be accepted, the contract for minor street patching with asphalt
concrete for the fiscal year 1982-1983 be awarded to said bidder and
that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the
.NL City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of July, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Stone, and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Sherratt - 1.
